In the matter of the Petition of William Saylor Falconer, and Harriet Elizabeth Falconer to be permitted to sue in forma pauperis

and

in the matter of the estate

Mathew

of the city of Chicago in the State.

Falconer late of Illinois in the United States of America deceased.

In compliance with your request

I state what has been done in this matter and what steps (if any) are to be taken as to the same, I beg to inform you that in November 1895, an order was made by the Supreme Court in Hongkong, original jurisdiction giving permission to the above named Petitioners to sue in forma pauperis and the said Court appointed Mr Edward Robinson, and myself, Bannister and Solicitor respectively to appear for them.

In obedience to the said Order I had several interviews with the said Petitioners especially Mr H. C. Falconer, and took note of their statements. It appeared that one James Falconer died leaving him surviving three sons:-

(1.) George Barty Falconer,

(2) William Saylor Falconer,

(3.) Mathew Falconer,
